Tomorrow afternoon I leave Memphis for Peru! It has been 3 years since I've left the country ... waaaay too long for my pack to be stored away!
A group of 8 students -- four D4s and four D3s -- and a dentist from the Memphis area will be spending the next week and a half travelling and serving in Peru, specifically Lima and to the south in the Ica area. This weekend we will have the opportunity to sightsee in Lima a little and next Wednesday we are planning on going sandboarding (think snowboarding, but on sanddunes. Sounds fun, right?!?)
I am hoping that we will have Internet access once or twice so that I can give some updates throughout our trip. If not, I will have one mighty-long post when I get home on the 18th.
Please pray for our group as we travel and serve the people in Peru. I know I will have lots of stories and pictures when I get home!
